Minimalism Fashion: Celine Fall 2010

New From Fifi....

CELINE 'FALL 2010'

Phoebe Philo's 2nd collection for Celine saw the label continue on from their last collection with simple and sexy grown up dressing.
Philo was quoted describing the collection as "Strong. Powerful. Reduced."

To me the collection speaks for itself...

Philo has rebuilt the brand back to its form that made it popular in the 1970's. The Parisian bourgeois sportswear label fashionable status has been officially confirmed.

The silhouettes for the collection were a mixture narrow funnel-necked knee length and hip length coats and dresses with slim flared trousers cropped at the ankle. A-line skirts were worn with cream silk blouses styled in a no-fuss manner with sheer black tights, riding boots, or high-heeled loafers. Sophisticated simpleness at its BEST!!

The mixture of wool blends, with leather and silk contributed to the collections classy day wear that presented an assured sexiness without any body-bearing dresses that has seemed to dominate recent runway shows.

A great collection that concentrated on separates, unlike many collections of present that have become obsessed with stand-alone dresses. The collection overall was refreshing in its minimalist approach to feminine fashion.
